In this sculpture, Clothilde Lasserre fashions an imaginary forest that seems to emerge from an original soil. Smooth, rounded white masses become matrices of life, from which slender trunks emerge, branching out into dense green foliage. The porcelain, sometimes raw, sometimes glazed, plays on the contrasts between fragility and strength, gentleness and vitality.
