Le Ciel & la Terre- Galerie L’Atelier Perché – september 20 > november 11 2024
As an abstract artist, NAEN recognizes herself in lyrical abstraction. A painter of light, she follows an intuitive creative process based on iteration, evolution, movement and dynamism. Conceived as dreams from which everyone can draw according to their own inspiration, they often make us think of Heaven and Earth. Moreover, the artist’s works have no title and are identified only by an inventory number, this so that the visitor can freely project his own imagination.
Clothilde LASSSERRE‘s sculptures tell us a story in which humans come and go, more or less aware of their behavior with each other, more or less aware of the planet on which they live. It is from above that the artist observes us. This angle of vision helps us better understand our relationship with the Earth. Trees and roots symbolize connection to Nature, growth, stability, rootedness in a specific place or culture. It is the cycle of life that comes alive before us.
Witness to another reality and not immediately perceptible, Bernard-Christian PIERRON is largely inspired by the sky and the Cosmos, whose dimensions he explores to infinity to finally give us the image of a strange and mineral world, cellular and yet without borders, chaotic and yet structured. In a free and dynamic writing, he paints life, matter, planets, suns and galaxies. He takes us to the middle of the stars, speaks of our belonging to the Universe, of the confused feeling of our eternity.
